there's no such thing as a perfect build, if it was a perfect build then you'd be able to beat any other build because all other builds have weaknesses and if it was perfect it has no weaknesses to be beaten

ok for all those iway haters heres the deal and how my clan uses iway

We started using Iway way back when to basically get some nice faction and with that faction unlock more skillz for more builds.. in the beginning we ran a regular Iway group nothing special...

After a couple weeks we changed the build a bit to be more devastating

then a week later we noticed how ppl were trying to counter it so we improved it to find basically an unbelievable powerful force to counter the counters making basically any match a dead heat no matter if it was anti-Iway or not

for right now we havnt seen much of iway teams that run our build.. and it isnt even close to the one that is listed on this forum

now if u think we are noobs.. fine we will take the insults from ppl who have no maturity or respect for other guilds/clans/teams/ppl and just whine when they lose a game...... just remember ITS A GAME, ITS NOT LIFE, ITS A GAME if we were cheating using a glitch of some sort sure... but we arent.. they even nerfed iway now and if u cant beat it get creative and make somthing that will

btw.. never say what we are.. never say what we think of other ppl unless if u are a member and no offense but if any of u were in our clan that are bashing Iway and calling clans noobs bcuz of it.. I would do everything in my power to get u out of our clan cuz that is not tolerated.. and with how u guys are talking and bashing carwasherz most of u dont even come close to being WN material (then again im not an officer so i dont really have anywhere near a final say in booting ppl.. just high ranked minion... but hey im luved by my crew and that is all i need ^^)

OK, well while we're talking about your guild, heres what i have to say. (oh and by the way i pretty much represent myself as well as Prav when i say all this) you guys are very well mannered and its a pleasure to play against you. i really mean that. you are one of the more notorious iway guilds (always running it in tombs), but i have seen you run other builds. and thats why im disappointed. you guys had a barrage iway build that just pwned the faces off of people. we had to fight you guys in sacred temples one day and you were running iway ranger with barrage and you actually had monks. we sent one person to the button. all of you sat by your relic. we figured we would engage. within seconds, our members start to drop before we do any real damage. we retreat. once we res up, we try to attack again. same result. we are laughing so hard in vent because of the silliness of us even continuing the match because we are getting destroyed so thoroughly and really dont have much hope. eventually, we found a way to flank and split you guys up and run three relics, which is the weakness of any spike build. but had that not been a relic run, i am positive you guys would have beaten us. every time we see you in tombs, we would assume you are running iway, but always fear that one barrage build

. after the game, you should no remorse and everyone said "gg". most teams that come close to beating us yell at us, call us newbs, flame, flame, flame, like a ranger spike team that took us down in gvg until we split them up and won. after the game they said "hahaha you guys are terrible, we beat you n00bs". all we could do was sigh and laugh them off. but you guys did none of that, which is rare these days and i have complete respect for it. even when you guys play normal warrior iway and lose, its still always "gg" or a nice comment and no one yelling for god knows what reason. thats kind of hard to come across these days, especially an entire guild of people like that

. sooo basically what i have to say is thanks for all of the manner and kind words you have spread to those in tombs and elsewhere, and i know you have some more skill in your guild to the point where you can run more advanced builds and be more successful that iway ever will be. hope to see you guys soon.

Famous Big Stick, we run into you in halls all the times. It's a shame that a talented player like yourself feels the need to talk so much trash on certain builds. What does it matter? Take your wins and say "gg". Everyone calls people who run IWAY noobs but why? If it's an easy win, just take it and move on. Why people feel the need to put other people down because of a strategy used in a video game is beyond me. I'd like to see some civility return to the game but I've given up much hope of that. Talking down on a team does nothing but foster ill will that isn't necessary, especially in an online video game. Have a good day everyone.

Since I only go to tombs a couple times a month, I can honestly say, I've never been part of, or fought against an IWAY team, but I sure read a helluvalot about them. So far, and this thread seems to run the same gambit as all the others I've read do, the concensus seems to be, all IWAY teams are nothing but 'noobs', and those that run it get ceaseless flaming, no matter what those people are like.

Now I'm no pvp expert, but I've logged quite a few hours playing it in all its forms in this game, and so far the one thing I've noticed is, no matter what build someone is running, if they are in fact a 'noob' (a term which is way overused and usually for the wrong reasons), they can't win squat. The fact that teams have taken this "worthless noob build", and been successful with it, leads me to believe that either it is actually a good build, or those being successful with it are good players. Either way, the people behind those characters running the build deserve a certain amount of respect, either for being smart enough to use a build that is continually successfull, or for taking a crap build and winning with it.

One of the biggest arguments I've seen against it is "anyone can win with an IWAY build becuase there's no strategy to it". I don't understand why the complexity of the build should make any difference in how its successfullness is judged. If it wins, it wins. Just because a build doesn't have to have the moon in line with jupiter at 12:23 while the players hop on one foot while clicking the mouse button with thier left big toe while using 55 of the 64 team skills available being used in a specific order at 1.45 second intervals, to be successfull, doesn't mean the users of that build are noobs, it means they were smart enough to use a build that's effective in multiple situations and is forgiving enough to not neccessitate perfection out of all 8 players to be successfull.

If you see someone trash talking (atm the 'cool' people trash talk about IWAY) you know it is a fool and never ever argue with fools...

you are mostly right. But it is true that many bad IWAY teams still win - even if they have no clue how to use this build nor how to play a decent warrior.

But they win because the other team is even more stupid - and that's what people complain about.

It is really funny though

A complete idiot can win with IWAY if the enemy is also a complete idiot. And if two pretty dumb people fight each other - the one running IWAY will win. So people complain: this idiot beat me (and forget to mention that he was at least as stupid as the IWAY guy)

If we take it all to another level like WN and CWz (I finnaly fought against them

) you will see that you can run IWAY also very clever. You can beat good teams with it - if played right it is a good build. There are much better builds out there - because IWAY has a single point of failure (melee attacks) which _always_ is bad to have. So IWAY is very easy to counter - but a good IWAY team can fight pretty decent against this counters.

Every now and then I play IWAY for fun and join random teams - and I really have to say: most enemy teams are just plain stupid. That is why even a dumb IWAY team can win. They loose as soon as you need strategy (I was in HoH with random IWAY teams pretty often and nearly all of them where too stupid to even get a chance to take the altar...)

But I was also with good IWAY teams in HoH and won a lot. And it was not due to dumb enemies - it was due to we knew how to play this build.

thanx dude i think im gonna forward this to our forum just to basically say goodjob everyone bcuz we have had some topics in which ppl are having hard time joining a non-clan tombs group just bcuz of our Iway builds (we currently have 3 and testing a 4th one)

the reason we made multiple iway builds is to address some of the problems with the original and fix it (such as our barrage one u encounterd) and i remember that game... yeah... ummm basically reason we lost was well that was when we were first trying that build out and we hadnt perfected it yet (i was actually one of the rangers) but now everyone is mostly used to it

Thanks alot this will make our clan happy with this response and it sounds like u guys are nice so if any of u guys want to contact us (and anyone else too.. although the ppl if are remembered for flaming iway prolly will have to take a long look at u) go to warriornation.net and there are forums where everyone can post or u can just look around our site and our nice section ^^ due to the clan limit we are being forced to split our clan into 2 guilds but since we are doing that we found some cool opportunities with having 2 guilds

and sephir i just cant stand iway teams, they talk trash to u if they accidentally beat you and then ask if ur a rank 7+ pug and think iys funny cause they are yall like rank 2, then in scarred earth yall always have 1 warrior who runs off into the middle of nowhere and thinks he can run back and save the whole day for his team, its over, face it dont run around like a idiot and think u still have a chance..and i dont like WN cause in a 3 way halls that guild and the build stealer power of my rangers teamed up on us when we were the red team, not even the holding team WN just gave them the win and didnt even try..... Its sad.....

i dont want a bad reputation for our clan... i've been in it for almost 3 years now, and seen our clan go to the top of many of the games that we support... and now guild wars is one of them... i dont want them saying... "O look, its the high ranked Warrior Nation... they are all just a bunch of trash talkers." i would rather them say something like "Hey look its warrior nation! they are pretty good and even better in their manners."

although u are a lil fiery right now ur not ova the line yet (since some of it was just backtalk) such as the rank thing... but personally... if ppl want to go by rank then im a noob and im proud of it.. im sry but i only do tombs with my guild cuz ya... i didnt like playing as mesmer for other ppl's teams cuz normally they were rude to the other team... it annoys me when that is the deal...

The trash talk come 90% of time from the team who beat IWAY. It's most times: 'IGAY trash' or something like that.

So your argument is flawed (not only with bad language knowledge but also with a lack of reaslism).

Trash talk has nothing to do with the build you run - I saw trashtalking from top 10 guilds and I saw trashtalk from a rank 0 PUG.

I don't know if WN and CWz talk trash (the times I fought them they didn't talk trash) but even if they did - it has nothing to do with their builds. If they did trash talk, they will be talking trash with every build. (sorry for taking your name in that example).

Keep in mind: Stereotypes are nearly always stupid and are a sign of a narrow minded guy.

Hey guys, I just wanted to drop a killing blow to this whole "IWAY is only run by noobs" argument. I was in tombs the other day, and my guild ran into Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Those guys are a rank 16 guild. Do you want to know what they were running? IWAY. Go figure. I wonder who here would say they were noobs for running IWAY. Also, Famous Big Stick, CWz does not insult the other team when we win. And, if an IWAY team beats you, it's not due to an "accident" it is probably due to your team splitting up just a little, and the IWAY team manages to drop a key player, whether it be a healer or a prot, and then the whole team drops. As for the last thing, none of our warriors would run around the map if they were the only one left. Unlike most PUG's CWz believes in taking the loss, learning from it, and finishing it quickly so we can go in again. Saying that most IWAYs talk trash and then insulting all IWAY teams you run into is what perpetuates insulting a build.

We would never run IWAY for GvG but do every so often for tombs. Its fun to play and makes a nice change occasionally from the serious business of GvG - a kind of R&R

I was in an IWAY hybrid the other day that beat iQ.

I can't stand the regular ones, though. The whole 6 warrior thing is pretty useless and just gets on my nerves.

You don't know how many teams we beat that were going "OH NOES IGAY!!" when we first entered. Schorny is right, most of the 'trash talk' comes from those that are fighting IWAY.. Though I have seen some in our group vigorously insult the enemy.. Most of whom were about age 12, anyhow.

I've also noticed that those who get mad about Iway and go on and on about it being for "Nubs" can't beat it.
